Mr Belath has worked for over 40 years in the Banking/Finance Industry in Mauritius and has gained international exposure through serving different roles. He served as Second Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritius (BoM) for over 3 years, with overall responsibility to overview the operations of the Bank, together with the First Deputy Governor. Mr Belath was also an Executive Board Member of the Central Bank, member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) and member of the Statistics Board
